Welcome  to the Film Makers Club. Take a look at What's New in our organization.

What's New

The following is a list of our most recent activities in our newly founded club.  Rest assured, anything new and exciting will happen here first, guaranteed!  Whenever we make a major decision, this will be the place to check it out.  I will try my best to keep this site clean and up to date.  Every month we'll remove the oldest items. The most recent changes are listed first.  All meetings are held at Dobson Hall 2nd Floor Classroom on Tuesday nights at 7:30.

April 24, 2002 -- Post and Money!

bulletGetting down to the wire folks.  We really need as much help as possible in order to get done.  Any spare time would be well spent in the lab.
bulletWe have been having the problem of missing footage recently, remember, don't DELETE anything!  If you save stuff to the hard drive, only save to the bins that we are using.
bulletFAC has granted us funds!!!  We have money!!!  We can buy microphones and other fun stuff!  WEEE!!!
bulletThe new website is coming along nicely...you can view it at http://filmmakers.truman.edu
bulletFeedback is welcome on the new site, please e-mail the web team!
bulletThere is going to be a PARTY for everyone involved in the club!  It will take place on the last day of finals, Tuesday the 14th at  608 South 5th Street, 10 pm.  It's also my grad party but we will be celebrating in style!  First keg is on me!
bulletThe Premiere date is still Wednesday (Reading Day) the 8th at Baldwin Hall Little Theater, 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.  I think what we will do is show the movie, then the making of.  After that we will break for a few minutes (maybe for refreshments) then show "Thomas".

April 15, 2002 -- El Posto Productino...(That's Post production in Mikey-eese)

bulletWow we are cooking with Post production...some of the scenes are just looking absolutely amazing!  We have much of the wedding scene, sexist scene and final scene all edited and looking great!
bulletRemember to log all of your changes in the notebook and Save everything you do!
bulletAny bits of free time that you may have, please come edit!  Its quick and easy!
bulletIf anybody has had a hand in any of the production of this movie...please e-mail me your name and what you did on the film...we have to start worrying about credits!
bulletMovie Posters are out and in full color!  Look for them!  If you want to hang some up, contact Mike Brinker at 665-2435!

April 11, 2002 -- It's been a while...

bulletThat's right, the old lazy club VP has been slacking on the website.  But we have good news!  We are now officially into Post Production!
bulletEditing takes place whenever you are available to work on it!  2nd floor media center is where all the action is...be there!
bulletWe need to be out of Post by the end of this month so we need to hurry people!
bulletThe movie poster is officially finished and being printed out.  Grab a few from Mike or Becky to hang up around campus!  Some are even in color!
bulletOur Club President is hosting a screen writing program on April 26 or 27th at 7:30pm.  Location is TBA, so call Adam Hardin for more info.  If you are interested in attending, visit the following website for the script that Adam has chosen for the program.  It is called Raising Arizona.  http://www.godamongdirectors.com/scripts/raising.html

February 23, 2002 -- Veronica's day o fun!

bulletThis weekends shoot went very well, we were actually able to shoot outside!  What a gorgeous turn out!  A big thanks goes out to all that participated.   Everybody was crucial to getting those scenes done!
bulletWe filmed part of the shooting in Nason and part of it in Dobson, then we went outside of Nason for some more scenes.  Things looked excellent after reviewing them on the camera, especially the bedroom scenes!
bulletThe fight scenes looked very intense, and are actually going to come out very well.
bulletCheck out the Current Film Button above for some awesome Pictures!!!  We finally have some things to show for what we have been doing.  They look great!
bulletDon't forget to be at the meeting on Tuesday, we still have lots to talk about!
bulletWe have one new piece of equipment!  We now have one light that can take a 150 watt bulb!!!  Go to the Archive section to find a picture of the new piece of equipment!
bulletI have now taken all the old news from last semester and archived it.  You can check out the archive button to read through the old news.
bulletAhhhh more pictures I didn't even know we had...check out the archived pics from the last movie...it rocks the house!

February 19, 2002 -- Busy meeting, lots of news!

bulletOkay, first and foremost, there is going to be a movie night hosted starting at 8:00 pm at Dave Rogers house.  Everyone who needs a ride will be meeting at 7:30 in Dobson Hall second floor classroom.  This is definitely going to be a fun night of getting to know one another a little better and to blow off some steam before shooting this Saturday!
bulletStarting at 9:00 am on Saturday the 23rd, we will meet in Dobson Hall 3rd floor lounge for another fun filled day of movie making!  All those who are interested in doing something, please attend whenever possible....THERE WILL BE SOMETHING TO DO, Guaranteed!!!
bulletWe extend a warm welcome to Zach Garwood who will be joining us in our endeavors.  Thanks Zach for coming to the meeting!  Zach, along with Karan Talwar and John Ebel will be heading up the design for the new web page.  Way to go fella's!
bulletIn case you hadn't heard, we are CHARTERED!!!  Yes, that's right, we are an official organization on campus now, with all the benefits!  Lets start using them to our advantage!
bulletJobs that still need attention:  Movie Poster Design, teaser for the club, movie trailer, and movie logo animation.  Any ideas or concept art can be discussed at the shoot on Saturday or at the regular Tuesday meetings!
bulletThe premeire for the movie will now be held May 8th.   We are hoping it will be at the Little Theater in Baldwin Hall.  We are going to show it three consecutive times, 2:30 pm, 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm.  Each showing will include our old film "Thomas" after it.
bulletFinally posted the shooting schedule, check it out...it's pretty neat!  Click on the Schedule Button above.

February 16, 2002 -- Another day for shooting....

bulletJust for your information, Brian Lowry has set up a new Yahoo! Groups list for the Film Makers Club.  The e-mail address is TSU_Filmmakers@yahoogroups.com  If you want to reach everyone with one e-mail, that is the way to do it!  If your name isn't on this group list and you would like it to be, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TSU_Filmmakers/ and follow the instructions to subscribe to the list.  Once you are on the list, you will always be e-mailed through this address.  It is really nice to have everyone staying up to date with the happenings of the club, so if you haven't done so already, please add yourself to the list or e-mail Brian Lowry for help!
bulletShooting has been moving along nicely, lots of stuff to do.  Don't forget about our usual meetings on Tuesdays!
bulletShooting can get rough, especially when we are all cramped in a stuffy dorm room for 8 hours at a time.  Remember to be kind and tolerate each other on those rough days on the set!
bulletSounds like we are all getting a little fried in that room, so we are going to plan a special movie night sometime and take a break from this hectic shooting schedule.  Any ideas for a good flick that will inspire us all?  Let me know!

February 13, 2002 -- Time for an update....

bulletSorry for the lack of info, its been crazy in my life recently!  The filming over the weekend was great!
bulletSaturday, we filmed several of the Chris and Tony scenes as well as two others.

bulletThis coming Saturday will be another day for filming, so get geared up to rock!
bulletSound is looking pretty good, thanks to David Rogers and his massive sound equipment.  Thanks Dave you rock!
bulletPlease contact Adam Hardin or Nick Wesemann for more information on what needs to be done.

bulletHas it been that long?  EEEKKKK!!!!!   Sorry folks, I sure dropped the ball on that one.  Please read on!
bulletI have officially handed over the construction and maintenance of the website to John Ebel.  He will be our webmaster/guru next semester.   This site will be getting a major facelift sometime in the near future, and boy will it be neat!
bulletCongrats to all Film Makers on our first movie!   The premiere was a smash hit!!!  Lots of people showed up for the viewing of the movie, teaser, and making of "Thomas".  Kudos all around.
bulletKEG PARTY at John Ebel's place (Where the movie was shot), 401 West Michigan Apt C on Saturday the 15th of December.  BE THERE!!!
bulletThe chartering process will take place over break, Adam has officially decided to write most of the constitution over break and will e-mail it to various officers for approval before submitting it.  Please feel free to get in on the action by e-mailing anyone who officially has a position in the club.
bulletA VHS copy of the movie will be available at Mike Brinker's residence, please bring a blank tape over if you wish to copy all the neat work you helped out with!
bulletThe prospects for scripts for next semester are moving rapidly onward, many people are working on something to submit.  Remember to e-mail them to Adam Hardin or Mike Brinker if you wish to submit anything.
